RURAL MINNESOTA--I closed two cases flagged with a Vietnamese language barrier today. One I got lucky on and an English speaker was home, and the other will be my best census memory.
I knocked on the door and the woman had me wait and brought me a handwritten paper with "CENCUS" at the top with all the necessary information. They went through the effort to break down the language barrier themselves to be counted.
Such a counterbalance to my first weeks of "knock, knock, no answer, leave a Notice of Visit.".
